Video Game Page

Welcome to the Video games section. I'm always working on new games, and simple game techniques that anyone can use at home. I recomend using Borland C++ Builder 5 or 6. Using the special codes in the tutorial below, you can use it to make some fun and impressive 2D games as well as OPENGL 3D games.

Look for more games to be posted here in coming months. All will be downloadable windows games. I'm not excluding some fun FLASH games, but I don't have any in the works right now. Look to the workshops page to find my next game programming class.

Book RECOMENDATION
Teach Yourself Game Programming

Michael Morrison

This is a great book that shows the basics of windows programming, and has examples and source code for both Visual Studio and Borland. I stick with Borland myself.

Book RECOMENDATION
Beginning Game Programming in Flash for Dummies

Andy Harris

If you want to make lots of classic style video games, core or not, this is the book for you. It goes step by step into the use of Flash just for games. Combined with the knowledge of standard game programming for C++, this book will make you a force to be recconded with. It's a little irreverent at times, but I can handle that.

Works in Progress

MISFILE racer game
Being developed with the blessing of the creator, this one on one racing game will use the Torque engine to power a PC online racing experience. Due Labor Day 07.

Fan Fighter 2007
The direct sequel to the 06 title, this game will be unleashed at Otakon 2007 for the game programming workshop. Be there or be square!

Zombie Pong
This flash game is the chapter project for the Northern New Jersey branch of the IGDA. Production is wrapping up after years in development hell, and we should all be having a good time soon!
